AGC of America uses BrowserCMS to publish more than 1500 pages of constantly changing content for their members and the public, while integrating seamlessly with their existing iMIS software.
The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), the voice of the construction industry, is an organization of qualified construction contractors and industry related companies dedicated to skill, integrity, and responsibility. AGC had a site with more than 1500 pages, in addition to more than 50 chapter sites that they maintained. The increasing burden of maintenance for the website and the volume of traffic they were receiving had outgrown their current website solution.
BrowserMedia completely redesigned the AGC website using the BrowserCMS system. Working with AGC's existing iMIS consultant, BrowserCMS was configured to seamlessly pass authentication information between the two systems and integrated with the latest eSeries modules. Existing legacy ColdFusion and ASP applications were also brought into the framework.
The BrowserMedia designed look & feel has received several awards, and has given a completely new public image to the AGC. Using BrowserCMS, AGC staff are now able to easily update and maintain their growing content repository, and distribute maintenance tasks internally for faster updates and better member communications. The integration with the iMIS AMS and other existing legacy applications provides a seamless user experience.
